By accessing or using BrifMe ("Service"), operated by BrifMe ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Service or via email. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Description of Service

BrifMe is an AI-powered news briefing platform that provides:

  • AI-generated summaries of news and information from various sources
  • Text-to-speech audio conversion of briefings
  • Personalized content channels based on user preferences
  • Subscription-based access to premium features

3. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: The content provided by BrifMe is generated using artificial intelligence technology.

  • No Guarantee of Accuracy: AI-generated summaries may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content.
  • Not Professional Advice: Content is for informational purposes only and should not be construed as professional, legal, financial, medical, or any other type of advice.
  • Source Attribution: While we aggregate content from various sources, we do not claim ownership of the underlying source material. Original content remains the property of its respective owners.
  • User Verification: You should independently verify any information before making decisions based on our content.

4. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

5. Subscription and Payments

Payment Processing: All payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles all payment processing, billing, and tax compliance on our behalf.

  • Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your plan).
  • Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • Price Changes: We may change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Price changes take effect at your next billing cycle.
  • Refunds: We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers. After 30 days, refunds are provided at our discretion.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of your current billing period.

By purchasing a subscription, you also agree to Paddle's Terms of Service.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
  • Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the Service without authorization
  • Remove any copyright or proprietary notices from the Service
  • Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others

7. Intellectual Property

Our Content: The Service, including its design, features, and original content (excluding AI-generated summaries of third-party sources), is owned by BrifMe and protected by intellectual property laws.

Your Content: You retain ownership of any content you provide (such as channel configurations). By using the Service, you grant us a license to use this content to provide and improve the Service.

Third-Party Content: News and information summarized by our AI originates from third-party sources. We do not claim ownership of this underlying content.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
  • WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.
  • OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
  • WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED CONTENT OR DECISIONS MADE BASED ON SUCH CONTENT.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BrifMe, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

10. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or factors beyond our control. We are not liable for any interruption or discontinuation of the Service.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Service ceases immediately
  • We may delete your account and associated data
  • Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Israel, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law. You waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits against us.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and BrifMe regarding the Service.
